Promoting healthy ecosystems to build resilience to climate change

COP 16: 29 November - 10 December 2010

RCCP COP16 site launch
The Regional Climate Change Programme (RCCP) is attending this year’s United Nations Climate Change Conference in Cancun, Mexico, to raise the profile and voice the priorities of Southern African Development Community member states.

While at the conference, the RCCP wants to facilitate a regional southern African online platform: This platform will act as a user-friendly source of robust information that is relevant to the region, enable sharing of perspectives through networking, and create opportunities for building lasting transboundary relationships.

We are inviting you to use this platform if you have a southern African interest. As part of the platform, this site will provide updates on the negotiations as well as synthesis of all the side events. To make sure you receive only information that is useful to you, our updates, editorials and podcasts will be tailor made to speak to different audiences, and will say clearly which audience they are for.

If you are a minister or negotiator, a SADC or Africa policymaker, a UN official, or donor, represent an intergovernmental organisation or regional economic entity, or if you are an academic, journalist or simply an observer, this site and its related platforms are for you.
